Our Story

In 2008, Candice was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 21-years-old. After two more recurrences of cancer, she finished treatments at the age of 24 after receiving a live-saving stem-cell transplant from a non-related donor.

Her donor's name is Jared and he lives in California with his lovely family.

During her three years of chemotherapy, biopsies, surgeries, and multiple stem cell transplants, Candice was introduced to the medicinal & therapeutic benefits of cannabis from a friend she met who was also receiving cancer treatments at the same time as her.

Before cancer, Candice’s life lacked a balanced diet, discipline, exercise, and stress-management. 

Cancer helped her to look at life in a healing way; to feed every cell in her body with positive energy and nutritious foods.

Emerald Organics was born in 2019 after Candice witnessed how cannabis turned her aunt’s quality of life around during her cancer treatments as well. Our retail store happily serves in North Fort Worth.

Emerald City Lounge was born in 2025 after years of planning & saving, thousands of people in the community asking for connection, and a whole lot of support & love & encouragement from you all. Thank you.

Emerald is Candice’s birthstone (May) and we pride on sharing the most clean, green, natural products from certified sources, and it is the color of God's beautiful herb He created for us.
